Our commitment
Salamandra AI wants its website to be usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We have worked to make the site accessible and will keep improving it.
Conformance level
The site's accessibility work follows the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013, and Israeli Standard IS 5568, at level AA. IS 5568 is based on the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0.
Accessibility features
- Full keyboard navigation with a clearly visible focus indicator.
- A "Skip to main content" link at the top of each page.
- Headings and page landmarks (navigation, main content, footer) that screen readers can identify.
- Text alternatives for informative images; decorative elements are hidden from screen readers.
- Labels on all form fields, and success and error messages that screen readers announce.
- Background videos and animations can be stopped with "Stop animations" in the accessibility menu, and are stopped automatically for visitors who ask their operating system to reduce motion.
- Text contrast that meets the standard, and text that can be enlarged to 200% in the browser without losing content.
- The page language and text direction are declared, and links in another language are marked as such.
- An accessibility menu (the floating button in the corner of the screen) for larger text, high contrast, highlighted links, a readable font and stopping animations. Settings are saved in your browser. The menu is an extra aid; it does not replace the accessibility built into the site itself.
Known limitations
- Sample fire safety plans on the site are architectural drawings. Their key information is also given as text and tables, but not every detail of a drawing is described.
- DWG files delivered as part of the service are CAD drawings; their accessibility depends on the software used to open them. Contact us to get the information in another format.
- The site uses third-party services (Google Analytics, Google Forms for enquiries, and external links to WhatsApp and LinkedIn), whose accessibility is the responsibility of their operators.
If you find something that is not accessible, please let us know and we will work to fix it.
