Effective date: 1 October 2026. Last updated: 1 October 2026.
1. Agreement
1.1. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Salamandra AI, of 67 Yigal Alon St. (Toyota Building), Tel Aviv, Israel (the "Company", "we", "us"). They govern your access to and use of our service and its websites, applications, AI features, APIs and related services (together, the "Service").
1.2. By creating an account, clicking "I agree", or accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
1.3. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it to these Terms. In that case "you" means that organization, and you and the organization are jointly and severally responsible for compliance.
1.4. A separate signed agreement or order form between you and the Company prevails over these Terms where they conflict, but only to the extent of that conflict.
2. Eligibility and accounts
2.1. The Service is intended for professional use only by persons aged 18 or over who have full legal capacity. It is not intended for consumers acting for personal or household purposes.
2.2. You must provide accurate and complete registration details and keep them up to date. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials confidential. Notify us immediately at [email protected] of any unauthorized use. We are not liable for any loss caused by unauthorized use of your account.
2.3. Accounts are personal and may not be shared, sold or transferred without our prior written consent.
3. Nature of the Service: a tool, not professional advice
3.1. The Service is a software tool that helps qualified professionals annotate floor plans and prepare drafts, including fire-safety drawings, element placements, measurements and classifications. The Service, including any output generated by automated or artificial-intelligence features ("AI Output"), is provided for assistance and informational purposes only.
3.2. The Service does not provide engineering, architectural, fire-safety, legal or any other professional advice or service, and it does not replace the independent judgment of a licensed professional. Nothing in the Service constitutes a certification, approval, permit, opinion or confirmation that any plan, design or building complies with any law, regulation, standard, code, the Planning and Building Law, the Fire and Rescue Authority's requirements, Israeli Standards or the requirements of any authority.
3.3. AI Output and automated results (including detected rooms, walls, doors, stairwells, landings, measurements, widths and element positions) may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated or wrong, and the same input may produce different results. Measurements depend on the accuracy, units and scale of the file you supply.
3.4. You are solely responsible for: (a) reviewing, verifying and correcting all output before any use; (b) every plan, drawing, submission, report and decision you make or file with an authority or third party; and (c) ensuring that a qualified professional signs and takes responsibility for any professional work product. You must not rely on the Service as the sole basis for any decision affecting the safety of persons or property.
3.5. The Service is experimental. The Service is an experimental (beta) version under active development. It may contain errors, defects and incomplete features, may produce inaccurate output, and may change, be interrupted or be discontinued at any time without notice. Data and content may be lost. You use the Service with this understanding and at your own risk, and the disclaimers and limitations of liability in sections 11 and 12 apply to it in full.
4. License to use the Service
4.1. Subject to your continued compliance with these Terms and payment of any applicable fees, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable right to access and use the Service for your internal professional purposes during the term.
4.2. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. The Service is licensed, not sold.
5. Acceptable use
You must not, and must not permit anyone else to:
- copy, modify, translate or create derivative works of the Service;
- decompile, disassemble, reverse-engineer, de-obfuscate or attempt to derive source code, models, prompts, algorithms or underlying structure of the Service, except where the law expressly permits it despite this restriction;
- use the Service, or any output, to build, train or benchmark a competing product or model;
- scrape, crawl or use automated means to access the Service, except through interfaces we provide;
- bypass, disable or interfere with security, authentication, usage limits or access controls;
- upload files that contain malware, or that you have no right to upload, or that infringe intellectual property, confidentiality or privacy rights;
- upload personal data (for example, occupants' details), or special categories of data;
- resell, rent, lease, sublicense or provide the Service to third parties as a service bureau;
- use the Service unlawfully, or in a way that may harm the Company, other users or third parties;
- impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure, or interfere with the Service's operation.
6. Your content
6.1. "Your Content" means files, drawings, DXF/DWG/DWFX files, images, templates, notes, comments and other materials you upload or create in the Service. As between you and us, you retain ownership of Your Content.
6.2. You grant the Company and its service providers a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, copy, process, transmit, display, analyze and modify Your Content as needed to provide, maintain, secure, support and improve the Service, and to comply with law. This license continues for as long as Your Content is held by us, and for backups until they are deleted in the ordinary course.
6.3. You represent and warrant that you own or have all rights, licenses and consents (including from the client, the architect and the property owner) needed to upload Your Content and to grant the license above, and that Your Content and its use under these Terms do not infringe any third-party right or breach any law or confidentiality obligation.
6.4. We may create and use de-identified and aggregated data derived from use of the Service ("Aggregated Data"), which does not identify you, your clients or a specific project, for any lawful purpose, including improving and developing our products and training, fine-tuning and evaluating our AI models. Aggregated Data is owned by the Company.
6.5. Notes and comments you add to a shared project are visible to other users who have access to that project. You are responsible for what you share.
6.6. You are responsible for keeping your own backup copies of Your Content. The Service is not a backup or archiving service.
6.7. We may (but are not obliged to) review, refuse, remove or block any content that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms or the law.
7. Third-party services and AI providers
7.1. The Service relies on third-party providers, including cloud providers for authentication, hosting and storage, and AI model providers to process content you submit for analysis. By using AI features you instruct us to send the relevant content to those providers for processing.
7.2. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy or acts and omissions of third-party providers, and their own terms may apply. We may change, replace or remove any provider or AI model at any time.
8. Intellectual property
8.1. The Service, including its software, code, models, prompts, algorithms, symbol and element libraries, designs, graphics, documentation, trademarks and all improvements, is and remains the exclusive property of the Company and its licensors, and is protected by copyright, trade secret and other laws.
8.2. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you may use output that the Service generates from Your Content for your own professional purposes. Standard symbols, legends, templates and library elements in output remain our property and are licensed to you for use in that output only.
8.3. If you give us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to use them without restriction or compensation.
9. Fees
9.1. Some features may be offered free of charge, as a trial, beta or preview. These features are provided "as is", with no warranty, commitment or support, and may be changed or withdrawn at any time.
9.2. Paid plans, if any, are billed as stated at purchase. Fees are exclusive of VAT and other taxes, which you will pay. Unless the law requires otherwise, fees are non-refundable. Late amounts bear interest and linkage under the Adjudication of Interest and Linkage Law, 1961, and we may suspend the Service until payment is made.
9.3. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. Changes apply from the next billing period.
10. Availability and changes
10.1. We may modify, update, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including features, file formats, AI models and limits. We do not guarantee that the Service will be available, uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, or that it will support any particular file, drawing standard or version.
10.2. We may perform maintenance with or without notice.
10.3. Our website. The content of salamandrai.com and our other websites, including descriptions of features, prices, timelines and examples, is general marketing information only. It is not professional advice or a binding offer or commitment, and it may be inaccurate or out of date. You may not copy, scrape or republish the website's content without our written consent. Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience only, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE, ALL OUTPUT AND AI OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY. This includes any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, title, non-infringement, quiet enjoyment, or compliance with any law, standard, code or authority's requirement, and any warranty arising from a course of dealing or usage of trade. You use the Service at your sole risk.
12. Limitation of liability
12.1. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COMPANY, ITS AFFILIATES, AND THEIR DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, or for loss of profits, revenue, business, contracts, goodwill or anticipated savings, loss or corruption of data, costs of procuring substitute services, delays in permits or projects, rejected submissions, rework, fines, or claims by your clients or authorities, however caused and on any theory of liability, even if advised of the possibility.
12.2. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE COMPANY'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE FEES YOU ACTUALLY PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
12.3. These limitations are an essential basis of the bargain and apply even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. They do not limit liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, such as liability for fraud or willful misconduct.
12.4. Any claim against the Company must be brought within 12 months after the cause of action arises, to the extent permitted by law, after which it is permanently barred. This is an agreement on a limitation period shorter than the statutory one, under section 19 of the Limitation Law, 1958.
13. Indemnity
You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its affiliates, and their directors, officers, employees and agents from and against any claim, demand, proceeding, loss, damage, liability, fine, cost and expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) Your Content; (b) your use of the Service or of any output, including any plan, design, submission or building that relies on it; (c) your breach of these Terms or of any law; or (d) your infringement of any third-party right. We will notify you of a claim and may take part in its defense with counsel of our choice at your expense.
14. Suspension and termination
14.1. You may stop using the Service and request account closure at any time.
14.2. We may suspend or terminate your access, in whole or in part, immediately and without liability, if we reasonably believe that you have breached these Terms, that your use poses a security, legal or reputational risk, that fees are overdue, or that we are required to do so by law. We may also terminate free accounts, or discontinue the Service, for convenience on 30 days' notice.
14.3. On termination your right to use the Service ends immediately. If you ask before termination, and unless termination was due to your breach, we will give you up to 30 days to export Your Content. After that, we may delete Your Content and have no further obligation for it, except where the law requires us to retain it. Backup copies are deleted on their ordinary cycle.
14.4. Sections 3, 5 to 8, and 11 to 17, and any other provision that by its nature should survive, survive termination.
15. Confidentiality and security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect Your Content. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss or alteration will not occur. You are responsible for securing your devices and credentials, and for not uploading content that you are not allowed to share with us and our providers.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
16.1. These Terms are governed exclusively by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
16.2. The competent courts in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms, and you irrevocably submit to their jurisdiction. We may nonetheless seek injunctive relief in any competent court to protect our intellectual property or confidential information.
16.3. To the extent permitted by law, any dispute will be resolved individually only, and not in a class action or other representative proceeding.
17. General
17.1. Changes. We may amend these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms in the Service and, for material changes, give reasonable notice by email or in the app. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the changes.
17.2. Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them, including in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
17.3. Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including war, hostilities, terror, emergency regulations, missile alerts, strikes, pandemics, failures of power, internet, or third-party cloud or AI providers.
17.4. Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement on their subject and supersede all prior understandings.
17.5. Severability and waiver. If any provision is held unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the rest remains in force. A failure to enforce a right is not a waiver.
17.6. Records. Our electronic records are evidence of your use of the Service and of the version of these Terms that you accepted.
17.7. Language. These Terms are published in Hebrew and English. For users in Israel the Hebrew version prevails in the event of conflict; for all other users the English version prevails.
